Plain Promise by Beth Wiseman is a fictional novel about holding fast to God's truth and conviction in life. The main character Sadie Fisher is living alone because of the death of her husband, when a non-Amish man named Kade Saunders moves in to the cottage behind her home. Kade Saunders is a multi-millionaire who can't find happiness in his life as his marriage has failed. While she befriends Kade Saunders and his son Tyler, Sadie continues courting Milo who lives in Texas. Milo and Sadie exchange phone calls and letters and Sadie suspects she will marry him. But as Amish life continues for Sadie Fisher, Kade Saunder's life is changing. He is confused about who is supposed to be now that all of the changes have occurred and he is having trouble with the Amish way of life. Yet when Sadie believes she is ready to make a commitment to Milo, she finds her friendship with Kade growing. The new friendship is fun and exciting for her. But when Milo shows up one day, Sadie has to make a decision that will affect the rest of her life.
With beautiful language and wonderful, endearing characters, Plain Promise, promises a heart-warming story that is not only lovely, but Godly in its purpose. I have fallen in love with the Daughters of the Promise series, and you will too!
